Lillian’s Beaus

IMG_1479 IMG_1480

At the Korean church there are two brothers (Calvin & Caleb) who are fighting over Lillian.  They both find themselves pining over her love during the week – or at least that’s what they tell her on Sundays.  In fact, they have already asked for her hand in marriage multiple times.  On Lillian’s birthday the older one (pictured on the left above) wrote Lillian a poem that I thought you might enjoy.  It goes as follows:

I remember when you were so small
You looked so helpless and you used to crawl

With your pacifier and your blankie
You’d always smile… but never cranky

If it weren’t for your dad, I’d give you a call
Take you out and roam the mall

We could search outside and hunt a bear
Or catch a fish that we can share

You know you like me, better than my bro
So on Sunday tell him, that’s fosho’

Lets go ride the swings so high
I’ll be there when you fly

I hope you have a happy birthday
With you’re wonderful parent’s who will make your day

At 2 in the morning I’ll climb your vine
And in the lakeside we can dine
